Kehillat Bet Hamidrash Synagogue

Kempsville Conservative Synagogue is a member congregation of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. Located in the Kempsville section of Virginia Beach, it is centrally located in the Tidewater area. Traditional yet egalitarian in its approach to Judaism, weekly Shabbat services are warm and welcoming.



Members take an active part in all facets of the synagogue, from leading services to daily operation. The synagogue participates in United Hebrew School and the Atz Chaim USY, Kadima, and Machar youth organizations and looks forward to its innovative programming partnership with Temple Israel to further enhance educational and spiritual opportunities for both congregations.
